Question Low profile antenna options?

Basically, I had my stock antenna pulled when I painted the FD. I still get some reception (possibly from heater-lines secondary antenna). I'm looking for a good antenna that is low profile and possibly I could either glass mount or hide away in my trunk or trunk lining.

Thanks in advance

i still like the idea of getting one of the smaller bmw shark antennas for in the middle of the roof at the back and getting rid of the antenna at the side. not sure how it would look but i like the idea.

there are also windshield antennas, the ones that wire around the edge of the glass, or the kind that go in the middle, on the bottom. hot rods and customs use them.

edit: ^you beat me

When I first got my car (three previous owners) it had a "stick on" antenna "enhancer" over the hatch in-glass antenna. Not sure how much it improved the reception. Still have it in the basement, it's labled EXEA. I liked the look, and currently have an amateur antenna on the rear hatch glass (through-glass antenna), which I use for the amateur radio (which also scans police freqs so I can stay out of trouble by knowing where to take extra care re speed!). Kind of looks to me like a sting ray stinger, but one friend thinks it looks like a bumper car power pickup!

I accidently drove under a chain once, it ripped the antenna clear off the back of my FC. Even though it broke at the wing, it still got great reception and no one could see it!

These are great ideas. Thanks a lot guys.

"already a thread about this.......there are many out there"

I think I tried to do a search before, and couldn't really find any good threads about it. I also tried searching on google under antenna, low profile antenna, car antenna, etc. Couldn't find anything - all these websites for truck antennas, cell phone antennas, and oem antennas came up.
