Locating Bose Center speaker Amp

Locating Bose Center speaker Amp
I need to remove my 93 FD Center Speaker Bose Amp to send in for repair.
It is located in one of two locations. In the dash to the left of the glove box or in the center console under the cover.
Both places take some work to get to so it would be useful to know which location to shoot for.
Any idea of how I could find out which location to go for.
