Light stereo?

Does anybody know of a stereo thats known for being light weight?

Including speakers/stereo etc, I'm trying to keep the weight down, but music is always nice.

How about a walkman... if you are richer get an I-Pod hehe.
Really I never seen weights for head units, its kinda funny that you've thought of that.

i don't think it is a big deal. a light set up vs. a heavy one will be 2 Lbs at most. the heaviest thing would be a sub and box.

Find a wrecked McLaren F1. The audio system was custom designed by Kenwood to save weight. I have a couple of parts cars in the back yard, if you want me to check them out...

All you really need is a single-din CD Receiver with internal 4 channel amp and 4 speakers. The rears can be 6.5 and provide the bass.

As for the weight, I think that is a bit lighter than the factory setup; I'm guessing about a total of ten to fifteen pounds using the stock wiring for everything.

A McLaren F1 system is even lighter, but it only provides a 6-CD changer, no radio, and the F1 costs $1 Million dollars, and almost every single one of them is still on the road--there's a 2 year waiting list for used ones!
