PM FDNewbie. He posted those pics and said he could get them. If he still can, he'll hook you up with a price too. From what I understand, he's a good guy to do business with, though I haven't bought anything from him myself.
Hey thanks for the positive words guys...much appreciated
TURBODREAMS04, I can get ya the tailights no prob, but a few notes (since I get a bunch of PMs on these, but no one comes through).
1) They're done one by one, it's a one man show, so if you're not ready to buy when they're available, it's a several month wait until the next set is available. So when I say I need to know within the next X number of hours or days, I MEAN it. Really
2) There are only one or two styles to choose from, as seen in my original post (that you linked to).
3) The guy who makes the tailights is NOT the same guy who makes the center tailight. So if you want the entire set, it may not happen at the same time.
4) These lights are EXPENSIVE. The guy includes in his price not just the incredible amount of time and effort it takes (there are 400+ some LEDs in the side tailights alone), but also the cost of the cores he has to come up with to convert them.
PM me for any further info.
Thanks!

it's not hard
I'm actually in the process of making them. I say the total budget is around $50 if you do it yourself. GEt some LED on ebay for at the most $1 each. Build a mounting plate and solder up the connections. Easy. I'll do a writeup on this real soon.

I've noticed there was this way of doing LED conversion, or the simpler way of getting direct replacement for the bulbs.
I've gotten all my LED's from Autolumination.com
They've turned out great... nobody can tell the difference until you hit the brakes or use the turn signals. They provide as much light as the stock light bulbs but with the reaction time of LED's.
Check them out..

Well, you know how the stock units light up?? It's the same. They might be a bit more red (very little difference) but overall it looks like the stock lighting. The difference is in the reaction time it takes to light the bulb, in this case the LED.
I wish I could take some pics, but I don't have a digi cam.... I know, I know, I'm probably the only guy without a digi cam... too broke because of the car!
I'll try to get some pics over the weekend...

I have no idea what the quality of the lighter.net LEDs is...so I won't comment for or against. But I can tell you that the ones I get from Japan are indeed VERY high quality. As mentioned before, there are 400+ some LEDs in the tailights, and there's even a switch on the back of the tailight allowing you to switch it from "donut" mode to "solid" mode and visa versa, as per your preference. Now THAT'S sweet.

I dont see how number of LEDs = quality. I use 208 genuine Lumileds Superflux LEDs in mine. These are the same that you see on Lexus and BMWs. The pictures posted appear to be conventional 5mm LEDs.

He asks about $600 for the tailights, and $300 for the center tailight. And yes, ppl buy them EVERY single time they pop up for sale. I'm sure some of that price is to recover the cost of genuine 99spec tailights he provides for the conversion.
