i know a place that you can get good covers for 400... but thats for both seats. it gives the car the new stock look. Ill call and see if they sell just one seat cover.

I'd be interested in knowing if they can come up with covers like the 3rd gen r1/r2 seats. I don't want to have to buy new seats, so recovering might be an option.

Try these guys. They claim that their replacement covers are just about perfect. They also do custom work.

Recovering will cost about as much as some of the aftermarket seats (not the high priced Sparcos). If you are fixing leather, it's even more.

If you want to keep the stock seats, then it's worth it. Me, I'm just going to replace my seats.

Yes, i can back that up.. i've been checking over the past week to have a seem repaired in just the driver side seat of a 3rd gen. Quotes were from $325 to $425. I would be better off replacing both seats with aftermarket than paying to fix the factory leather.

Has anyone on the forum used these guys for 3rd Gen replacement covers? I'd be interested in how they look, and how difficult installation is.

Is it possible to just repair part of a seat? My drivers seat, left shoulder bolster is cracking and doesn't look that great, but the rest of the seat, as well as the passenger seat, is perfect. Can a good shop just replace that part of the leather or will it not match? I have black leather fwiw. I'd rather not get aftermarket seats or covers, I want to keep it stock.

Yea, you can do that. My father had that done to his Vette last summer. His matches perfect.

The price was out there though, just for the section it was around $200. I'd rather put that $200 to a new seat.

Someone try the leatherseats.com ones. They sound good but I doon't want to be the first one to drop 700 dollars on new black suede covers and find that they are crap.
gmonsen- did you read the website? They are full recovers that replace the existing leather (or cloth). However I agree that just covers will not ever look good.

Not much has changed. Leatherseats.com or a new seat are your two best cost effective choices.

I hope those are better than they look in the pics. Pretty low quality from my viewing angle.

Thumbs up seat covers

Buddy of mine has the leatherseats.com covers on his car. Two tone, Black and Yellow inserts. I've got pics of them on my computer at home and will try and upload them when I get off work. As far as quality, I would say they are worth it. Do they look stock? No. But in my opinion they look a lot better than stock. You can call them, as I did, and request color samples. They sent me several different shades of black, and several different shades of silver for NO cost. They are samples of the actual material used so you can get a great idea of how the material will look and feel. Pics when I get home, sometime after 7.
