****, pedals, ebrake, wheel ???
OK, now that my Aiwa MP3R is in, its time for some aesthetics. I'm thinking about Momo Leather Sphere, a matching ebrake handle, Sparco alluminum pedals with the footrest, some white-faces for the gauges, and maybe a good Momo wheel. Whatcha yall think ? Anyone done any good combinations he would like to share ? I would like to stay with the "leather look", but add just a trim of alluminum here and there.

Knight: I think your Caps lock is broken.
Ace: I wanna know how you like the Aiwa MP3R. I'm looking at that as my replacement head unit...but I've head some pretty bad experiences with Aiwa CD players skipping when they shouldn't (brand new cds, clean lens, etc)

Yeah deadof_knight, whats up ? U r clearing your throat or something ? j/k
Anyways, yep Martini, the Aiwa has this peculiar habbit of skipping when it shouldnt, and staying perfectly straight through 0,5 meters bumps I mean, I'm on a perfectly level road, and suddenly (has occured 2 or 3 times) it skips. And then I'm on a very bumpy road, with holes, bumps etc etc, and the Aiwa just keeps on rocking !!! wtf ? Must have something to do with the buffer control software (what to keep in buffer and what not)
Other than that, the unit is almost perfect. Its the new MPR version (with RDS, TA, PTY etc), and it reads MP3 CDs like lightning ! Granted, the materials are not top-notch, but then again for the price you cannt beat it. Price/value ratio is sky-high!!!!

hey guys since you're talking cd players i just put in my alpine. hahaha 60x4 kills stock 2nd gen speakers. hehe anyway. if you want a great QUALITY HU not like that awia **** get an alpine or clarion. yeah they're expensive but damn the SQ is 2nd to none and the skip protections on these 2 brands are the highest rating skip protected! so yeah great deal of power and great deal of skip protection for a great deal of value!
BTW i'm not pulling this stuff out my *** i have been to quite a few comp's up here in MN and have just shown my system to people there. i had a 91 lumina with a 1700 watt sub system-i hate bass now, and all custom built speakers made JUST for me!! : so yeah i turned a few heads in my rusty lumina. but anyway anybody ever needing advice on a system gimme a holler and i'd LOVE to HELP :-)

yeah, Alpine units are badass, but I'm all about pioneer. THey might not have the wattage of the Alpines and clarions, but they are infinitely upgradeable, they look sweet, they never EVER skip (or at least mine doesnt), are extremely durable, inexpensive, have awesome looking displays, and above all, sound great. I give Alpine and Clarion mad props though. They just don't appeal to me as much as the top of the line pioneer units.
AIWA is awesome too, I don't care much for their car audio products though. My portable AIWA cd players have always kicked serious ***. They can stand up to ANYTHING!! And they always sound great. AIWA sound is always absolutely Crystal Clear. My parents have an AIWA home theater reciever and it is damn nice. ITs just that Their car stereo head units are kind of iffy. One of my friends got one that has held up well, doesn't have that skipping problem or anything, the radio sort of garbles (not like cutting in and out, its more like a crappy Cassette tape. I really can't explain it) in extremely Urban (like in the center of downtown) areas for some reason, but thats about it. So a bunch of my other friends followed suit and bought AIWA head units and ALL of them have had serious problems. Mainly with the skipping, but other problems too like buttons falling out and stuff, and really (really really really really really really) bad radio reception, like the tuner in the Head Unit is faulty or something. Now they're all wishing they had gone pioneer like me. I've not heard anything before about the AIWA mp3r though. I've been sort of out of the Car Audio loop for a little while now though. I hope the MP3r pays off for you.
