never mind.. after thinking about it.. this would prob be a bad idea for a daily driving car.. since the footwells on the FD are small, i wouldnt want to put anything down there to make it that much smaller.. expecially when you can dynamat the car put nice speakers in the rear and doors and be totally loud enough! thanks anyways tho guys!

Its just not practical to be honest. I made a set that housed 7" monitor audio drivers

Just put them in the door, a 4" driver will fit no problem. You can put the tweeter on the apillar, sail, or door panel.

looks good but ur right.. for a street car its not needed really as im sure the stock spots will do well!

ur setup looks clean tho!

and as what im doing im putting a set of 5.25" in the door and tweeters, and 6x8" 3 way set in the rear spots.. just thought it be cool to add 4" set in the kicks.. but meh its prob way over kill and hard on my feet area.

If your looking to do a 3 way, by adding a mid to the woofer and tweeter you will definitely pick-up some clarity. I would be willing to bet that you could fit a 3" mid in the a pillar. Unfortunately fd's really arent great starting cars for good sound quality, they are just too loud and they just arent designed with acoustics in mind. You ll be happy with what you have, i run 5.25 components in front front and 6.5 components and the back and couldnt ask for more. Running rainbow pro components off a w200 fyi.

agreed man! i believe i will be doing the same.. went shopping on ebay last night and my stereo changed a bit but not bad.

I bought a JL audio 300/4 amp 75w rms to each channel at 1.5-4ohm which is sweet

and i bought a 5.25" and 6x8" component set for the front and rear.. before i install it. i will rip out my interior and add a single layer of dynamat extreme everywhere and add new floor padding to help quiet it up.. doubt it will be a huge improvement but im sure it will help some!

my mids and highs should rock super hard..

now when i save up for a sub to go in there.. i think i decided to buy the matching jl audio 500/1 amp and have it powering a 8w7 in a ported box tuned to 35hz in my hatch.. ought to be plenty loud and be super clean and clear for such a lil car! i have my hopes with it.
