Keep blowing fuses!
I had a friend install a new cd player in my car and replaced the rear speakers, and he crossed some wires doing the job. At first the radio, dome light, and all lights except for headlights and signal lights do not work. After replacing the AUDIO, ILLUMINATION, and ROOM fuses, all the exterior lights except for headlights and signal lights still do not work. The ILLUM fuse keeps blowing. So now, if I drive at night, I have to leave my 4 ways on. Any idea which wires could be crossed? Thanks.

Maybe he put the illumination wire (orange) to the wrong spot or something...but by 'other exterior lights' do you mean brake/reverse lights???

Thats what I was thinking. Basically what I am talking about as 'other exterior lights', I'm talking about basically all the lights covered by the ILLUM fuse: dash lights, front bumper and side markers, rear side markers, brake lights, and license plate light. The brake lights work if you press the brake down, but otherwise they are out. If I travel at night, my headlights work, but no other ones do, so I have to travel with my 4ways on so ppl can see me. I'm surprised I havent been pulled over.

Well, what you -could- do is unhook all of the connections to the radio, replace the fuse, and see if it works. If it works fine with the radio disconnected, then its the radio hook-up that needs to be modified...IF with the radio NOT hooked up youre still blowing fuses, then chances are that it is not the radio install taht is messing your car up. If it DOES work with the all the connections to your head unit disconnected, start reconnecting wires one by one. When the fuse blows, chances are the last wire you connected somehow messed everything up...give it a try. Good luck
