I have one JL 10 W3 for sale... I used it for about 3 months in a sealed box. $100 shipped if you're interested ... it's just been sitting here in my room for last couple of months. IMHO, the W3 sound a lot cleaner than the W0. I ended up swapping it out in favor of an Image Dynamics IDQ10 though.

what kinda music, what kinda enclosure?

I myself would lean towards the 10W3, but I don't know what your are gonna be playing or whos building and what type of enclosure your putting them in to say one way or another.

Care to take a look at the DEI Studio sub woofers? Do yourself a favor and check them out before making a decision.

my amp is 600 peak....i think i've seen it advertised at 170 rms x 2.....i listen to rock stuff like korn, deftones, tool, fear factory, flaw...etc.

i made my box. it looks similar to this one but the subs go where the amps are and the amp is where the subs are.....btw thats not my setup.

also i got a friend at tweeter so W0s will cost me like $60. should i check out the W3s? do i not have enough power for W3s? so any jl is beter than alpine?

Dynamat for sure to stop that damned rattling. JL 10W3's would definetly be the way to go.

you guys ought to get out more

if you compare specs for the subs then

alpine s is a better sub than w0

alpine r is better than w3

so your choice should be s-w0-w3-r
on the sub capabilities

now as far a price $60 is cheap but if you spend the money and it doesn't make you happy then you just wasted your money

i have used all of them and all but the w0 are good subs
w0 is a entry sub.

o yea if you do use the alpine subs make sure you use a very small box
