No, but check out my thread on using a newer Miata headunit. Not only is the install pretty easy, but the options you get after installation are pretty nifty.

when you say that you had to "split" the din to make the radio work, what exactly did you need to do? I see that there are two din connections on the back of the Miata radio, what went where?
THanks for the response and info on the Miata swap.

I think what he means is he had to cut the plastic bar in between the radio and the factory pocket. He also may of had to make a bracket for it, not sure on that part..... That would be a good choice if you want to keep the factory look....Or you can get a direct fm modulator, the wireless ones dont work very well and the direct ones are only 50 bucks. Or you might look at getting the harmon kardon set up that gives you a little screen and control that does the same as how your ipod operates. It also connects by a fm modulator that is wireless but you can by a piece that goes with it to make it direct. Oh also not sure if it matters but the headunit may only work if you have or dont have bose you check up on that before you decide.

You've got a lot of options.
The install I did was a piece of cake, and getting my iPod hooked up to it ended up costing less than $80 total. No extra supports or fabrication was needed. You don't need to have Bose to make the mod work, you just need a newer, non-Bose Mazda headunit.
