Interior Change

I was wondering if you guys may be able to help answer a question of mine.

I am looking at picking up a RX7, however it has the Tan interior, and I would perfer the black.

I was wondering what all needs to be changed, or approximation on cost, or any info on where I could order the parts or anything to go from tan to black.

Thank you.

here i can help, if you get a 93 you have alot of work.

these are used prices.

1. door panels - $400- 500 in good shape

2. passenger side and driver side kick panel - $60- 100 for both

3. scuff plates (passenger and driver) - $50 -60 for both

4. headliner (if you have a sunroof and to do a complete conversion need to get the panel underneath it) - $250-300

5. back panels (passenger and driver) - $150-200

6. rear bins - $150-200 , or jdm rear seat conversion - $550-800 - depending on who you get it from

7. seat belts - $80-100

8. carpet- $350 for the aftermarket stuff (new) or you can look for some used oem carpet

9. piece that covers the gas door and trunk release - $30-40 dollars

10. black oem seats and buckles- $500

if you have a 94 with tan interior

all you have to do is replace the carpet, seats and piece that goes over the trunk release

Thank you, that helps so much.

Why is it so much easier with a 94?

How did you pan the interior? Did it hold up? I was thinking about the same, but just uneasy to see if it scratches off or anything.

used SEM paint. prep it, spray the adhesive spray, and then the SEM satin black over. looks really good. doesnt scratch off, if you prep it right and follow the directions.
