Exclamation Interior carbon fiber look

Is any one familiar with the carbon fiber look gauge and center console kit? Is this an overlay or direct replacement?

I stumbled across this at japanparts.com.

yeah most of the overlays look pretty crappy. i decided to have mkoch cover my parts in carbon fiber. the peeling on them was getting pretty bad. its a bit more expensive, but it'll look so much better.

as far as i know, there are no "replacement kits" for instrument panel parts, short of getting new ones from the dealer or used ones from a parts car.

If you are going to do it, have it done right.

Yea, there are some links to the stick on stuff around here, however I've heard it's not that easy to apply and the quality is not as good as what Mark or some of the other guys on the forum offer.

I don't think there is anyone that doesn't do "overlays" per say. You'll need to send anyone your interior pieces to have it done.

Not really, if you already have a FD, its very easy to make over lays with out having to have people sending in their interior peices (well for me it is). Here is an example of what I have done,

Too bad mkoch1 sold his FD though... That canam is pretty sweet though although I would have personnaly gotten the Ultima GTR (I personnaly hate verts but thats just me).

I didn't say you couldn't make overlays, I said I don't think the guys who do the work that are on the forum make overlays (or do the work without you sending your panels, as the question was asked).

There are plently of places on the web that sell the overlay kits. However, I've seen them and they aren't as good as what Mark does.
