Integra talilights on a 81 RX-7?
Hey my buddy has a 81 Rx-7 and was wondering if he could modify a set of 90-93 integra taillights onto his rear end. Does anyone know if its possible and how extensive the build project would be. If anyone has info or pics it would be greatly appreciated. Peace

for all you **** who talk about rice you honestly need to shut your mouths and stop posting sh*t. I could careless about your opinion. 1. Its not your car 2. Its not my car 3. Rice is a term used by most guys who cant afford aftermarket parts and are pissed that some other guy is gettin it and not them.
If you want to waste my time with rice comments then start another thread and beak me on that one. All I want to know is what year of integra taillights best fit a 81 rx-7. Thats all thats it.
Who cares if its ricey or not. In all honesty, I think it looks weird as well but my customer wants it done, and so I will help him out as best as I can. If the best that this forum has to offer is a bunch of ignorant comments then why do we have this posting station.
Peace Out. And thanks to the guys who actually contributed to this thread.

No...Rice is a term applied to people who can't afford real sports cars so they buy a honda (or anyother cheap japanese make), and start spending money on stupid cheap, tasteless, modifications to it, taillight swaps included.

i would have to agree with hawaiiangoat....a lot of people that call honda's, acura's, and other foreign cars that are modified ricers...are only those that get beat by them.....also another thing is for some reason on this forum if u want to do something that nobody else has done...for instance his tailight conversion....u immediately get stereotyped as "riceing" out ur car....
for the most part ya i agree that people that add a bunch of junkie APC products...or go to Wal*Mart and buy there mod's are trying to be a ricer....but there's nothing wrong with a well built honda...as i know of a couple that would run an rx-7 like nothing.....so if u have a problem with modified cars or completely converted cars then keep it to urself unless the thread actually asks for advice on "to rice or not to rice".....

Rice or not, a Integra Taillight Conversion would just look plain tacky. It's my opinion and if the guy wants to do it . . . more power too him; i just think he/she could have spent the money it takes to fabricate that tail light conversion and put it into nice rims, nice widebody kit, more engine/suspension parts, etc.

I won't let go
You said you're buddy, then he's a "customer" of yours, and you're a civil engineer and you're asking the forum how to do something for a "customer" which leads us to believe that you're a body shop guy and you give US **** for our opinions about something that belongs on another car!?!?!?!?
Are you a body shop guy? How is he a customer all of a sudden?
I think you need to reevaluate your thought process.

Integra lights are too long to fit the thinner lines of the rear of the FB. It makes it looked very squished together and does not flow well at all - it just makes everything look goofy. Yes, they can be installed, but cutting and fitting will be needed. I do not think it is worth it, since the FB looks great on its own. For the money your "customer" would spend on that kind of work, he/she could honestly do a lot to make the car faster or handle better.

I don't know how you guys can say thats lame, it would have looked alot better if they just used the stock red lights not the altezza's. I love FB's more than ne other rx7's but the stock fb lights are plain as hell.

totally wrong rotard...
Rice is the adding of mods that add no performance and hinder the overall look of the vehicle.
Installing a ls1 into my FD is not anywhere near rice or lame. You drive a rotardly powered FC, how lame is that? hahaha. When i finish my FD next spring, i challenge any 100% street interior rotardly powered Fd against my FD. I'l give your 15sec wonder 10 cars and the leave for $1000. Or if you wanna hit up the course. Whatever you like. i dont care....

i know the fastest 100% interior 100% street legal rotary powered FD will not be as fast. Otherwise i wouldnt have made the offer. I know whats out there, i know what to pick on. Plus i have very high odds of the rotary engine blowing before the race or during. hahaha
Offer still stands...

Black Magic your crazy man. Can't we just have a normal friendly thread for once. This forum is becoming less and less helpful the more people like you just wanna fight about everything. Later.
