Question Installing Stock Components

I just bought a 1993 RX-7 R1 with a stock tape deck dead speakers etc.
I was wondering if i got a stock cd player for it (off ebay for instance) will it be a nice easy direct swap (wiring etc) also is it possible to install Bose door speakers and rear speakers? (lookin for a cheap decent system) thx for the help.

1) If I were you, I'd try and first find out why the speakers aren't working. Are the speakers blown, or is the source unit faulty?
2) This is related to 1) The stock CD player is connected via cable to the stock cassette source unit. If the source unit is faulty then the CD player won't work.
3) BOSE speakers won't work with the stock (Base, R1/R2) stereo system, but aftermarket will.
