Installing Pioneer Avic D3

I pulled my Avic D3 out of my STi before i sold it and im about to install it in my FD. My only concern is all this bose system nonsense. I bought an extra mazda radio harness and i have my D3 all wired up, i just need to put it in, but like i said the bose system worries me. Is there anything i should be worried about or can i install my D3 without any problems from the bose system. Im really just hoping that i wont have to replace the whole factory system for my headunit. Oh, my oem radio is kinda taking a ****, the sound on the radio cuts in an out and gets fuzzy, then itll phase back in, n get all staticy idk its hard to explain, but im almost positive its a problem with the hu or the antenna and im hoping i can install my d3 like i can in any other car so i can listen to some unchopped up music while im driving.

Sometimes you can install a stereo without worrying about the bose but then other times you have to pull the factory amp or bypass the factory amp.

Theres a sticky thread at the top of this forum section. If not, do a search for bose and you'll get more than enough help. You need to get an adapter to turn on the bose amps. Check the sticky for more info.

you might have a problem with the factory amp, the best thing to do would be to just bypass the factory amp and eliminate the chance of the amp taking a crap on you later on also

I have a D3 in my FD with the factory Bose system without any problems. I did have to get a line converter to lower the outputs though.
