Installing a new head unit in a base car without bose
I have a 93 R1 with the base stereo in it and I just put in a new sony explode. It works very well but I couldnt find the antenna lead to go to the car from the new head unit. The old head unit had two leads that appeared to be the antenna leads but plugged into a harness on the car. Are these the leads to the factory antenna. Do I need an adapter to make this aftermarket head unit work with the antenna? I am at a loss on this one. I would like to retain operation of the power antenna as well any hints. thanks...

Yes, the two leads are your antenna connections. The big one is the power antenna and the small one is the windshield antenna. Go to radio shack and buy a male to male antenna adapter. It is only $5. Plug this into your deck and your big connector in the car and your power antenna will work.
