Installing Aftermarket E-Brake on FD

Has anyone installed an aftermarket E-Brake on their FD? I've seen it done a few times, but was wondering how to change it. I was looking at some E-Brake's from MOMO, but they do not have an adapter that would fit on the RX-7. Could someone please provide me with the step by step info on doing this?

1. Tear off the stock one
2. Put the new one on

Most of the ones like from Momo, will attach using 3 allen set screws for a "universal fit".

I seen that they have adapters for proper fitment, but the only Mazda adapter was for a Miata?

Does anyone know if I should just try this adapter or if there is a close fit one?

The Miata one should either be exact or "close enough". There was a popular mod years ago to use the Voodoo shifter and e-brake from the Miata. If there is a year distiction on the Miata adapter, you'll want the mid-90's but I don't know if they change anything through the years. A lot of the mid-90's Miata stuff is interchangeable on the FD.

I designed and built my own out of aluminum...couldn't find anything (literally) I liked out there.
