inner fenders

hey so im curious about how to attach some inner fenders to my front fenders

im thinking about using crazy carpet material (sheets of vinyl) velcro, and gorilla glue
what im thinking is to put the gorilla glue on the sticky side of the velcro and stick it close to the lip on the fender and then attach it to the vinyl sheet and velcro it up in place... just curious on the strength and how well it would hold in place?
