Was wondering if you guys could tell me what years the rx7 came in Innocent Blue Mica... Even just a guestimate is fine. It wasn't a special edition color was it? Was it ever on any mazda cars here in the US? Thanks.

 

I believe IBM started out in 1999 on the FDs.

The blues on the current Mazda's look similiar to it, but am not sure if it is the same color code or not.

 

I'm not sure if they are the same color code either, but IBM came out in '99 IIRC.

 

thanks guys. Was also wondering if there is a special way to put this paint on? I messed up my bumper and had to have repainted by a different shop. Well the bumper doesn't match the rest of my car now. It doesn't change colors when you change your angle of view like the rest of the car. Atleast not as much.

 

Well it's going to take a skilled painter to get the panels to match. The paint will vary some even with the correct paint code (20p) I had to paint some parts for my car about two years after I originally had the car painted. I did ok but there the hood and hatch I painted for my car are slightly lighter. More so on the hood than the hatch. Nothing out of the ordinary though. I used base coat clear coat Chroma colors.
