Why does everyone seem to think dynamat is a cure all for everything? Dynamat sheet is for the sole purpose of adding weight to something such as a long flat roof, or a trunk lid. There are other ways of killing rattles, silicone, foam etc .. Must cheaper at that...

Best thing to do is get a test disc with different bass tones, each tone plays about 30 seconds and gives you time to see what is rattling at what bass note.

W7's are very expensive, and the other drawback to them is they are VERY deep (dimensional) subs... But ayt any rate most anything Jl made/makes is good.

thanks mike. I thought about just getting one but I dont anything to cover the sub up. I think 2 would look alot better than one. I can get very good deals things like this. I just want see what you guy box and stuff look like. What does it cost to get a box made that will fit in the trunk of a fd or hatch.

hey 93redfd i would go with one jl 10w7 i have one not in my fd but if you get enough wattage going to it you will be very pleased with the oucome. plus in an fd you would be pushing it to get proper airspace for two 10w7's. so once again i recondmend one.

somebody told me this about a w7 and I was about to argue but I dont know much about audio. This person said that a w7 would suck dents in trunk hatch and the rear 1/4's.. Is this true, are they that powerful??? THe only way I think that it could suck dents is unless the car was air tight shut..
