Thumbs up I hate wires GRRRR HELP!!!!

Hi I have a 93 touring, bose, blah blah im installing /trying to install a new sound system! the problem im having is wires from my amp in the trunk to the new jbl 6.5's in the doors i can't for the life of me get a human hair from the kick panel to the door speaker !!!!

Question is can i use the black/red and black/orange wires that powered the old bose amp as speaker wire untill i get them inside the car? a fair amount of power will be going through them around 140watts is why i ask,

I bought 16 gauge speaker wire and the b/r and b/o wires appear to be the same size ???

will this work oh rx7 gods

Thanks

Scott

I don't have the bose system you have, my fd's an r1, but I do have a sound system.

I ran my speaker wire off the stock wiring like you are describing. I cut the speaker wire near the connection that it made to the old receiver so all my newer wires can be coming from one place.

It worked for me but I'm not 100% sure with the bose (I don't know how those work or if there's a difference).

Hey Scott I had the Bose system and I used the wires from the stock speakers to get through the doors. I don't see any problem with you using the factory power wires to get inside the car. Those door jam connectors are a pain!! Good luck!
