I was in an accident and need body advice

The rear quarter panel needs to be replaced, well i talked to a body shop and they said the labor alone would be 2000-3000 dollars!!!

Is this a rediculous price? I mean all they have to do is weld the panel on right?

Any suggestions?

Keep in mind, i'm not asking for paint or anything, just for them to put the piece on.

2-3k for EVERYTHING sounds about right....without labor...thats a bit high. look around
keep in mind labor is roughly $75-90/hour for these guys

yea a drunk driver hit my car a couple weeks ago and trashed my drivers quarter, anyways i just picked up the new quarter panel today from the dealership and i am planning on me and one of my buddies that is good with that kind of **** to put it on, it might take some time but id be better then spending 2-3k just to get it on, i know i wouldnt pay that. but i am planning on making a HOW-TO on how to go about replacing the quarter panel but im not gonna have it done for awhile so if your in a rush to get it fixed i really cant help you

well i have to wait till the end of the month before i can start working on it just cause the garage that i work out of which is my friends garage, and is a three car garage. his parents own it and they are moving out at the end of the month, and during that whole process alot of **** is comin out the garage so we can actually use all three bays, cause right now we have one of my friends car that im rebuilding and we also have a 69 camaro that im restoring niether of which are going anywhere anytime soon so i have to wait till his parents move to their new house so we can get all that junk out so i can bring my car in, sorry for goin on and on but its definitely going to be next month sometime just dont know when. O yea and just to let you know if you need a new quarter panel there is someone parting out a FD and he told me hed sell me the drivers quarter but this was after i paid for the one from the dealership which i cant take back, i will get you his name on here so you can contact him if you need the panel

My rear quarter was repairable and the total still came to $2400 at The Works (highly recommended by the way!).
