HUDs

Anyone know what the deal is with HUDs? Are they affordable/practical?

1. Tint a portion of your windshield.
2. Buy a digital gauge.
3. Put a really bright bulb in the digital gauge.
4. Mount it above the dash cover.
5. voila!

I may be interested in selling mine, I got it for my last project car, but when I got my FD it had a boost gauge. It is the boost gauge/turbo timer combo. Make me an offer if you want.
