How would I go about getting some cup holders for my FD?

Did you search?? Telling us to discuss, as a NeWb?? WTF??
Anyway, this is my trick....it has been working for years, but just like everything with this car you have to be patient.
Buy one of those 'hook on the window sill' type cup holders. Keep it stored untill you need it, then clip it onto the left side dummy light oval on the cluster surround. I have bent my clip part at a more severe angle to guarantee it never unhooks and falls. Works like a charm. I keep it in the storage bin when not in use.

LOOOONG time ago on the old RX-7 list a guy used to sell cupholders that were VERY similar to this. It would attach to the side of the center console on the passenger side - lots of guys liked them, and it looked decent and wasn't in the way.
I just only take sealed drinks in the car (20oz soda with a cap). Never have a problem there!

If you dont like that option, then you'll just have to carry it between your legs, put it in a bottle, or not carry a drink at all.

First big reason NOT to have a cupholder is how hard the car accellerates and stops. Spilled drinks are guaranteed even if the container stays upright. Next is how hard the car rides. More spilled drinks.
I do ride for long periods of time and I use a sports water bottle (squeeze to get water) filled with distilled water. Even if I spill it it's distilled water and will not harm or stain anything (as long as I keep it out of the electronics). I have a thinish tool kit wedged behind the passenger seat and the water bottle fits perfectly between it and the console.
Just to post a warning for others - I often do overnight stay trips to the coast and buy milk for my breakfast cerial. I'm cheap, so I put the opened tetrapack milk container on the passenger floor (securely wedged vertically I thought). That day the completion of my trip was on the "Duffy Lake" portion of highway 99 in B.C. -
<--that's the start of it there - the "best curvy road ever". Upon arriving at the ferry to go to Vancouver Island, I found the milk container tipped flat. Subsequently (next day), I found myself with a wet/dry vacuum cleaner, buckets of water, and passenger footwell carpet pulled up - alternately flooding and sucking dry the carpet/floor. It was already beginning to smell and I didn't want my car smelling like rancid milk!!
Now I store things that could spill in the hatch over the spare tire - much easier to clean up spills. I also only carry sealed containers.
LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!
