How to- Oxidized headlights...

Ok so this is not a in depth "how to"

I got tired of trying everything possible to clean my headlights.

My lights were oxidized very bad, and on top of that...I left em in the open when I re-sprayed my bumper...so they got some overspray on them.

Anyway, I used Meguires Mag/Aluminum Polish and a mini paint sponge from the hobbie store to get them bling again. I would have never thought!

Sorry if many already knew about this, but hopefully this will help someone.

The "before" pic is the drivers side, I wish I got the pass. side before also...It was twice as bad.

The after pic is the pass. side.

That works too... make sure you cover the surround area with 3m masking tape so you dont polisht he otehr plastic and paint... Meguiars PlastX works well too. for seriously oxidized lenses , sand em down with 2500+ grit and polish them.

I tried the Plastx stuff right before...nothin. However, that stuff seemed to work on my truck well. So needless to say, I went searching through the garage trying every cleaning substance I could find =o)

Oh and I just took the black headlight covers off and shimmed a towel around the light, cause I know im clumsy and would have gotten it on the paint etc...

On a side note, do you guys know anyone who sells any different stock headlights, except for the ones on ebay....?
