how far to sand side mirrors and hood scoop
their made of plastic so don't know how much to sand

 

just wanted to know how far am i suppose to sand the side mirrors and hood scoop
so far i sanded with 320 sandpaper and it feels smooth the hood scoop has a couple of spot that have completely removed the paint when sanded

what are you trying to do?

1500-2000 grit will smooth out the clear coat-removing orange peel and dust

400-600 grit will remove the clear coat--smooth out primer in preparation for the base coat

180--220--320 will remove the base coat and primer

80---100 grit is very coarse and is used for rough shaping body filler and removing everything down to the metal
