Remove the upper and lower column covers. Sit in seat and grasp top of cowl with each hand. Pull cowl directly toward your chest. After a sound that makes you swear you broke it, the gauge pod will pop out. Reach behind and disconnect the wires.

There's a couple screws at the bottom of the panel-don't forget to take those off too.

Already took off the screws. Try to pull it a bit. But the damn thing doesn't seem to move an inch. So I come here to ask first. I don't want to break anything.

I had to tug pretty hard on mine. It made the cracking noises like DamonB mentioned. Try pulling on the lower side first, then try to grip the top part and pull back. Reaching around and popping the instrument panel harnesses left siome nice gashes on my forearms.

If you don't pull directly out, you will break something. The first time I did it I pulled up at a slight angle and the hood part of it cracked where the one clip is. MAKE SURE you pull straight out. If you are, pull as hard as you want.

Why don't they just put everything on screw?

Oh well, guess I have to use some force.
