How Do I Remove Stock Shift ****?

I want to replace the stock **** on ny 94 FD (leather is very worn). Can anyone tell me how it comes off?

Also, anyone got any good recommendations for replacement? Momo, etc. ? Got any pics?

Turn that suckker counterclockwise.... lefty-loosey... it should twist right off.... hold on to the boot tho, you dont want to twist that up
