How did you mount your speakers in your FC?
I have a set of component speakers that I want to install in the FC, and I'm looking for mounting ideas. I have a T2, but it doesn't have the door speakers (thank god, because that location blows...), it only has the dash mounts. I don't want to put the mid-bass in the dash because that location sucks, too. So, I've figured that I can either: Mount them in the doors by removing part of the map pocket, or make kickpanels, which doesn't seem to have a whole lot of room.
What have you guys done, and more importantly, do you have pics of it?

They are 5 1/4". I looked at making a kick panel, but with my big *** feet, they'd just be in the way. I'm going to remove half the map pockets and fit them in that way. Here's hopin'.
i guess you don't care for staging...I don't understand why people put compoents in rear of a car. The main focus of your sound needs to come from in front of you. All you need in the rear is some fill. The trick is to get the stage up as high as you can get it and keep it in front of you to some degree. FC's aren't that great for it. I don't have any pics of my old fc...but I had 6.5" in the doors and put the tweeters in the triangle pieces that cover the screws for the side mirrors. The tweeters I had had a swiveling mount so that I could direct them right at my face.
^ +1, putting components or creating a heavier balance towards the rear is simular to watching a concert with your back facing the stage. Annoys the hell out of me.
I prefer tweeter in the A pillars so the sound can be reflexed off the windsheild so the high notes are more spread out (and of course coming from the front), but you might install gauges on the a pillars. If you do, then cutting a hole in the dash for a tweeter is another option. Just make sure most of the sound is coming from the front instead of the back.

That makes no sense to me at all.
