HIDs won't go on...
Hi, I have a sleek light kit with HID's (Hella 90mm) but sometimes one of the HID beam wouln't go on. The battery is brand new (optima orange top). I was thinking that it might be my grounding wires. I was wondering what the problem would be? Can someone help me on this?
thanks,
thien phan

if sometimes it goes on and sometimes it goes off and its random, id suspect a bad ballast or igniter
I had this problem with my HIDs once, turns out the ballast was bad ( but under warranty!)

if something is wrong with the ballast, then it shouldn't go on at all right? Hopefully it's not the ballast. In order for both of them to go on, I have to turn on and off my headlights and once awhile both would come on. Can I please get some more help?

Well obviously check your wires and grounds...
Same exact phenomenon I had.. you have to "kick" it a few times before the spark ignites the xenon gas.. much like a bad flourescent light bulb going out.. Either the igniter is faulty or the ballast is not supplying enough energy to igntie it, the bulb seems to be fine...
If you switch the intermittent ballast/igniter to the consistent side, you can confirm its not the wiring..
