HELP! With Stock 3rd gen Clarion

Can someone please help me. I got a nice deal on a new Kenwood head unit and I am going to get rid of the stock Clarion in my 3rd gen. I have a harness for all of the main wires but one thing is confusing me. What are those two round black wires that merge into one small white connector (They look like some sort of antenna wire), They are plugged in to the rear of the unit actually inside of the head unit. You have to bend a bit of metal on the stock head unit to dissconnect it. If they are antenna wires, do you just buy a connector and solider it up and plug it into the new unit? Also what is that small clarion thing that is underneath the center console near the back? (It looks like a crossover or something). Is it cool to dissconnect it? Help please. I am dying to get this thing in my car.
