CA Help with pioneer avh-p4000dvd

So I need some help guys, a couple questions actually
1. For some reason my radio antenna wire has a female end to it, (i'm not sure if thats stock it just seems odd to me) and my deck has a female end as well so they cant connect, Im thinking about splicing 2 male wires together seen as I cannot find a male to male adapter for it (ive been to kragens, wallmart, radioshack, circuit city, frys, and a bunch of stereo shops all say they dont have em) but anyway my question is, do the FD's come stock with that female antenna plug?

2. are there any double din mounts I can get cause my deck is just flopping around (my car was gutted when I got it so im not sure if everything is right with the parts ive replaced it with)

3. Now its the infamous parking brake wire issue. So I've been lurking the forums for a solution to this. People said to ground the wire to get it to play dvd's while driving so I decided to make it look clean and just connect it to my grounding wire thru the harness and it didnt work. So im just trying to find a way to get it to work without getting a toggle switch, any ideas or know hows would be very much appreciated

as the antenna goes, if you dont listen to AM take a screw strip a wire back about an inch wrap it around the screw and tape it up, put the screw down the hole the antenna goes in give it a little twist into the little hole in there. this way you will get perfect fm just no am.

The parking brake wire needs a switch put inline. The deck needs to see ground, no ground, ground and the video will appear.

Did your pioneer unit come with a cage? if so that should secure it in there.

I have that unit - you can't just ground the parking brake wire because the unit has to see the switch. You will need a toggle switch to ground to make it play while driving.

The Pioneer D3 has that trick you can REpin the "mute Wire" and the unit when you turn it on will play DVD's. However I haven't dared to try it on the 4900DVD yet. I installed a couple of the 4900 DVD's and they are really nice units.

Here is an interesting fact,
I built a relay off the Second Ignition off an vehicle and what happened is that the radio turns on before the second ignition turns on. and then the "parking wire" sees ground after the radio flips on, and voila no need for switch. However I don't think it would work for the 7.

For mounting the 4900DVD, You can actually contact Pioneer, I think there is a cage that you can buy for it. My store, got a "demo" unit and it had a sleeve for it, but then when I open up the units that are meant to be sold, they don't have it. Which I found interesting, but I'm guessing you probably can order it from pioneer.
