Help needed removing stock radio/tape

Hi-

How can I remove the stock radio/tape (not CD) in a 93 rx7? I can get the radio 3/4 of the way out using 4 small screw drivers to insert into the 2 holes on each side of the radio. However, I can't get it out far enough to unclip the wires in the back on the radio.Obviously I dont want to pull to hard to had the wires rip or break. (I am removing it because it doesnt work properly and I have another stock radio/tape to put in).

Can anyone provide some assitance? Do I need to remove any of the console panels?

Thanks
Bob

I removed my radio a little while ago but dont remember any great problems... I think i removed the bottom one first, as this has less wire connections to it. You should then be able to get your hand underneath the top one to remove the wires out the back...

Only thing i would say, is one of the wires is really short, which is prob why it is getting 3/4 of the way out.... I think it was the main power/ariel wire, so make sure you keep tabs on where that goes!!!
