Help with JDM Speedometer / Odo conversion
In past months my 93's OEM odometer crapped out and so I just paid a visit to the shop to have it looked at. Prior to my appointment I picked up a used JDM gauge cluster in great shape.
It turned out all the common issues with the odometer were not the culprit and it looks like the display itself was shot.
So we installed the used one. The challenge with that was first to recalibrate. Put the car on the dyno and adjusted the pot switch until the "km" matched up as mph. Step one done!
However the next issue that came up is that the odometer is still recording as km!
Does anyone know if that can be "flashed" or some how configured so it records as miles. I would have thought the adjustment to calibrate the needle would have effected the odometer but as I tested it on the way home it's definitely accumulating faster than my gps.
