Help Installing Deck in Vert Double Din...Mount it where??
I picked up an Alpine unit for my car. Ive dissassembled all the necesarry parts of the dash and removed the old Pioneer AE system.
Ive picked up an install kit from BestBuy and from searched I believe it to be the same one as Crutchfield sells.
Ive wired up the harness as best I could, put the new units sleave into the install kit as per instructions now I cant for the life of me figure out where on the car its supposed to mount up to, like which screw holes in the car?? I also see a problem arising of there being no rear support to the head unit once i figure out how to mount the kit.
Also whats the best route in terms of steps to get it all wired up.?? Attache all harnesses and speaker wires then intall unit into sleeve in install kit or install unit and work from underneath with the pocket out???
this thing is beginning to bug...please someone help before I get fed and bring my dissassembled car to Best Buy and have them finish the job!

well i figured the mounting out.........
i just hadent removed enough of the brackets for other models....but now......i have about half inch strips of open space on either side. The guy ensured me it was the right kit for my car but I guess there is another that fills in the sides(???) dammit...this is pissing me off!!!!!!!

I will be wiring the speakers directly to the deck
bypassing all amps. My problem at this point in time is that bestbuy appears to have given me the wrong install kit as it screws up fine but there are like half inch gaps on either side of the install kit and it doesnt appear to have come with anything that fills these voids.
Is there a specific kit for the vert AE system hole which is obviously larger than a normal double din.....??????

cmon..there has to be a really simple explanantion for this....ive searched for a long time and havent encountered any threads of people having the same problem as me
