Hello everyone. I have a 93 FD and I replaced my head unit with a JL audio double din about 2 1/2 years ago. Its a nice unit that I bought new from car toys. I don't remember the model number. None-the-less, I am looking at replacing the door speakers and rear speakers but have no idea what is decent out there. I know I need an amp as well. I'm not huge into bass so a sub is not really necessary. I'm hoping for some decent speakers that I can get a little bass out of.

What do you guys recommend and what are the factory speaker sizes? Links would be awesome! Throw out some amp ideas too. Sound goal is basically to be nice and crisp with a little bass and to sound as clean as the bose in my 2013 Sonata T. Please help.

 

Every speaker has it's own sound. Some high some low. I went with JL C5 speakers in my FC feeling like they are the best of both , they are not overly high or low. I have lower end JLs in my FD. The 5 x 7s in the rear have enough bass if your not into subs. I have tweeters in the doors of my fc and they sound perfect. I didn't want to do tweets in my fd keeping things looking as stock as possible.

I think I have the jl XD400 or 600 in the Fc. It's a great amp that is small and doesn't need much room to vent so it can be hidden in a rear bin.
I'm sure there are other speaker for less cost, I just love the way the C5s sound. The system in my fc is the best system I have ever owned.
