This isn't about RX-7's, but I don't really know where else to ask.

I want to paint my motorcycle helmet, but I've heard that some paint will eat the shell and compromise it's structural integrity. So does anyone know what kind of paint can be used?

Also, I'm planning on using rattle can paint, so can anyone suggest some good quality paints? I know that they won't be nearly as good as getting it painted for real, but I don't have the money to pay a painter to paint it.
