Headlight covers- aftermarket options
Headlight covers- aftermarket options
Hi guys. My drivers side headlight cover (RHD JDM car) flew off at highway speed the other day. I'm finding it hard to get another cover, as I dont have any spare covers left.
Which online stores stock aftermarket ones at some sort of reasonable price? (and dont mention Ebay- I got badly ripped off on there a while back and Paypal didnt reimburse me, so I closed my account for good and dont have access to it any more)
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks

I looked around for options myself when i lost one on the highway awhile back... but came back empty handed. i couldn't find a 'stock' looking one, all of the aftermarket options seem to be vented/ducted ugly *** ones. i ended up just order 2 new ones from Mallory Mazda.... haha.
Ray at Malloy Mazda had them on sale, dunno if he still does. They were $70 each.

Thanks guys. I was only looking for one cover, as the other one is fine. I'll chase up Malloy Mazda and see if thats the best way to go.
And yeah, some of the vented covers out there are ugly as all f$%#. I dont want a vented cover that looks like a pimple on the front of the car :/

take a close inspection of the other one. Take it off and look closely at the edges of the flanges where it connects to the cover. You might be surprised to see some fractures starting to form.
I noticed mine were starting to crack so I reinforced the mounts using some thin aluminum strips and fiberglass resin. It might sound cheesy, but it is waaaaay stronger, doesn't effect fitment and is invisible until you remove the covers.
I just finished talking to Ray at Malloy Mazda this morning, and ordered a stock RH headlight cover. For anyone that needs a new cover, talk to Ray. $70 gets you one. I had to pay around $50 shipping, but only because I'm in Australia. Problem solved. Thanks guys
Always wondered why nobody has made these out of sheet metal or CF. Either would be much more durable than the crappy plastic they are currently made of. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult.
