Here's something to think about from a laser guy. The most reflective part of the RX to a laser speed gun is the headlight and front license plate. I suspect the ricey looking headlights are like a mirror and make a highly reflective target.

Some states even use a special paint on their tags that is highly reflective at the lasers wavelength. This is why you see the plastic tag covers being sold as a countermeasure. I suspect they work pretty well because they should absorb the laser light rather than reflect it.

I prefer to keep my headlights retracted so I'm not an easy laser target. The laser beam is about 3 feet in diameter at 1000 feet. This isn't to say the laser can't get a reflection off the RX...it just makes it harder (you will need to be closer).

The paint on your car will also reflect laser light. Red is pretty reflective at this wavelength and black is the least reflective.

Tell me if this applys,,,Stealth,Radar, any 90' angels will reflect,
thats where absortion comes in,everything else bounces off
no flat"blunt" panels,,head on, side and rear of car won't be able
to to hide signuture unless one owns radar(any freq)absorting
coating,I would like to see the motorcycle cop with his radar gun,
or a speed trap that shows your speed and takes your photo.
When ones car is coated,,nothing would register oh time to wake up now,.,.,.,.
