Head Unit question

Does this head unit play cd's in it or do I need a cd changer? Also is it even a very good unit?

face plate probably opens up and you slide the cd in there

the face plate folds down, you pop the cd in, but if you want a real quality CD play I would suggest anything Alpine puts out.
