Has anyone tried the new Kenwood decks with the G-Analyzer function?

I was looking at a CD/MP3 deck for my FD and I noticed that the new Kenwood decks have this new feature called the G-Analyzer...supposed to be like a G-Tech. Has anyone tried this or seen it work? What are your thoughts on this feature?

http://kenweb1.kenwoodusa.com/Kenwoo...celon_2006.pdf

Details of the G-Analyzer function is on page two.

I'm also open to suggestions, do you folks have any recommendations for a CD/MP3 deck in the $300-400 range?

Thanks.

So no one has tried this yet? I guess I'll have to be the guinea pig.

Here's a better online demo:

I haven't seen any results on how accurate it is, but there has been complaints that unless it's mounted straight and level, it won't work.

Well, I plan on getting one of these eXcelon receivers here shortly. Kenwood eXcelon's are great. I had one in the past. Beautiful CD deck.

I have the Avic D1, and it includes vehicle dynamics, which has vertical and horizontal acceleration meters! Just the other day (through Angeles crest) i pulled -1.23/+1.25g lateral acceleration!

i have a kenwood deck with that feature in my daily driver eclipse and its useless. i messed with it for a couple days and it was giving readings that werent even close to my gtech pro. im guessing its partly because the deck is tilted in the eclipse but even the lateral readings were off.also you have to navigate to that feature to use it, and when it's in that mode your display doesnt show your station or cd track info.it was fun initially to see how high i could peak the meter but thats about it.i forgot i had the feature til i saw this thread.on a positive note the deck is excellent.the model number was something-897.i have it hooked to their kac8402 4 channel amp driving 4 polk audio speakers and it sounds excellent.good luck
