Has anyone done dynamat throughout interior?
Heard of a few people doing for noise/heat reduction.... Just curious as to how it went....
Looking into doing soon.

I am currently doing mine right now, will post pics when finished, its called FATMAT, its $80 shiped for 50sq/ft, so far so good. No problems, I am about half way done, and I noticed when I shut the door, that tin sound has disappeared. This should also quiet down road noise and help with bass response, since my car has 3k worth of car audio.
When fixing the door pulls, I installed dynamat on both doors, as well as some styrofoam inserts like the later year door.
Tinny sound is good, and the cars is a little quieter.
At Home Depot, there is a roofing compound that comes in rolls that is cheaper but just as good.

last year i was looking up some paint type material (you could spray it, or paint it on with a brush). Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I would like to get that, but can't think of the name....
i think an important place to put the stuff that most people dont is in the REAR fenders. have to take the plastic off, but u know, thats like right above the muffler and there is alot of hollow space in there.

If you really want information on this kind of stuff then visit car stereo websites and business'. I am familiar with Dynomat and B-quiet. Both are good. When I was doing it on the cheap I used the rubber undercoating spray from Walmart. Works well but smells for about 2 weeks.

I did my entire car from firewall back to the tail lights, including inside doors but not the roof. Used a b-quiet product just like dynamat but substantially cheaper. Also used an industrial hi-density foam, about 0.25" thick that I got at work. In addition to laminating the inside surfaces with the "dynamat and 0.25" foam, I created psa backed gaskets made of another hi-density foam 0.065" thick to go between the plastic components (different parts of the door paneling for example). The difference is phenomenal, no squeaks and rattles, reduced road noise, reduced outside noise, reduced engine and drive train noise, better sounding stereo, the door closes with a solid sound. Didnt add very much weight and the car doesnt sound like a cheap tin box anymore. Its not as quiet as a Lexus or Mercedes but for me it is much more comfortable and quite tolerable.

I have 3 layers of Dynamat Extreme in my doors in the FD to help the bass response for my component speakers. The doors sound much better when closed. It's funny when I'm rinsing the car off after a car wash. The fenders are so hollow and tinny sounding, and then the door is like spraying concrete (maybe not quite).
