Gremlin in the electrical need help
My 93 R1 is having some electrical issues. A few weeks ago I noticed that the parking lights were coming on by themselves when the car was off even though the switch was off. This would happen at random times and stay on until it killed the battery. I figured that it had to be the aftermarket alarm, so I took the alarm out and rewired all of the under dash. The lights don't seem to come on anymore, however upon taking the after market alarm out I seemed to have activated some fatory alarm or someting, I can't explain it. If I lock the car and leave for a few minutes the car seems to arm itself and when I unlock it the lights start flipping up and down and the horn starts honking and again it doesn't stop. I don't know what to do. When I pulled the old alarm there were two wire leading to the door to operate keyless entry and I had nowhere to hook them up don't know if this could be causing it. If anyone knows what is going on and how to stop it please let me know, I am getting sick of disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it everytime I need to lock it. Thanks.
Are you sayng that when the stock security sys. goes of is after you oppened the door?
Just to confirm you know that the only way to disable the stock sec. sys. is by turning or unlocking the door with a key exept for disconecting the whole power from the battery.
The reason I'm sayng this is b/c when you disconected the aftermarket sec. sys. that's when your stock sec. sys. actualy started working.
If you unlock the car with a remote control from outside the the stock alarm will go off b/c the door is actualy oppened from inside not the way should be opened normaly with a key after the stock sec. sys. is set for 30 seconds.

The problem is that I am not opening the door with a remote anymore, I am usingthe key that is why I am so confused about this whole mess. I removed the keyless entry that came with the aftermarket alarm, but as I said I had two wires that it connceted to on the lock motors that I had no idea where to put, so I just taped them off for now wondering if maybe I nee to hook those up somewhere.
Most likely those to wires brake the cirquit of the factory lock so when you unlock to dissable the sec. sys.
You should try connceting them together, or see if is there's something to hook to and than do a test.

Umm, ok. I'll offer a second opinion.
The 2 mystery wires going to the driver-side door are probably for an aftermarket door lock actuator, since there isn't a stock one.
There is a sensor on the key tumbler itself that grounds when a key is used to unlock the door. This signals the stock alarm to disarm. There's another switch on the lock mechanism that tells the stock alarm whether the door is locked or not.
For the following: I believe there are some differences between early '93 cars and the rest, but I'll offer what I know about my '95.
When you lock the door (using the key or by flipping the lock on the interior) while everything is closed, you'll arm the stock alarm. To interface an aftermarket alarm to this, all you have to do is have the power doorlock solenoid flip the lock, this will arm the stock alarm. However, to have the aftermarket alarm disarm the stock alarm, you have to ground-pulse the aforementioned key tumbler sensor wire. Typically the unlock wire from the aftermarket alarm is used for this.
Soooo... Look at where this key tumbler sensor wire is tapped by the aftermarket alarm/keyless entry. It's possible the wire broke, or possibly the sensor.
