Hi,

Ever since I got my FD I have found there is some kind of oily residue on the paint. It wont go away when I wash it. I tried using a colour restorer that is msupposed to get rid of road grime and that got rid of a bit of it but didnt completly remove it.

Anyone else have this problem with a FD?

Anyone know where this grease could be coming from?

Any Ideas on how to get it of the paint?

If it is oil from the road spray wd-40 on it and it eats the stuff pretty well. This was recomended by a body shop so it should be pretty safe on the paint. I've never needed to do this on my 7 but it has worked well on my other cars.

 

try a clay system

 

WD-40 or simple green.
