Good kick panel speakers for base FD configuation
I'm going to replace the rear 6x8's with some mid range Pioneers, since they only get lower end back there anyway. But what's a nice sounding kick panel (6.5" I think) speaker that fits in the slot? I really like Infinity Sound, but I don't think they fit.
I know that this has been covered before, but I've done plenty of searches and nothing too helpful has come up about the kick panel speakers. Thanks.

im using 6.5" infinities right now in my 3rd gen kicks. i got them cheap from my friend that works at circuit city. theyre decent speakers, not top end ****. my other bar is my IASCA sound car and i must say outta all the stuff ive used, the best sounding is a toss up between MB Quart, Diamond Audio, and the eclipse point source competition stuff.

Right. I know that there's very high-end sound out there, but for what it's worth, Infinities are a good blend of decent sound and a non-outrageous price.
Do you happen to know the model number of your kick speakers?

if your planning on running whatever speakers off a built in head unit amp then the infinities are fine. however if your using an amplifier, i'd suggest looking into a middle of the range or lower end MB quart speaker component set, which wont cost you that much more but will sound some what better.

If you use 6.5", check fitment with Crutchfield. I have Clarion ones in front and Rockford Fosgates in back. Rockford ones won't fit in front so I got Clarion which sounds similar. Get something similar to your rears so it's balanced. Hear the speakers as a set at a stereo shop or something before you buy and install it.
