Glove box!

Ahh my glvoe box is broken. i could pull it down, poke around with a screw driver, but the stupid latch wont open...

You guys think i should just shove a saw in there and chop off the bracket holding it closed, and maybe buy a new glvoe box and weld the bracket back on? any other suggestions, i tried unscrewing the glove and getting it from the back. but that sucker just wont open up to release it.

That sucks! Usually it won't stay closed! Making chopping the bracket off your last option.

Mine closes, but it hangs open a bit, and bounces so that the light flashes at night. I've tried fixing it more than once, but gave up.

What this has to do with your issue I have no idea... just thought I'd share.

Is it locked?

bust that shat open, then put in a lcd screen and a playstation 2 and a couple nos bottles in the passenger seat. and some neon. and a big wing. lol.

seriously though, i think you could probably find a whole new glove box on the forum somewhere...just search around...they have everything on here.

when mine did that, i took the screw out of the bottom and wiggled it with the latch pulled open until it eventually came off. i had to pull the vinyl off and drill a hole to get to the loose screw that holds the latch on. i couldn't get the vinyl back on right, so i bought another one from a guy on the forum and it's right back to where i started. guess it's another part of owning an FD
