Getting a dent out
Ok, up untill last night my car had NEVER had a ding, dent or scratch on it.... so much for that.... my door didnt shut good enough and i figured i could just bump it with my leg to shut it.... bad idead.... left a big hickey dent in it and it stretched the paint out a little..... does anyone know if there is something i can buy to pop this out or if i will have to take it to a body shop to have them do it for me? also, i hope my paint doesnt chip where the paint stretched out
Look up a professional dent specialist in the phone book and have them take care of it. If you don't know what you are doing I don't recommend you trying to take it out and the body shop will probably want to fill the dent with bondo and paint it over.
I had a few door dings removed after I bought my car to make it perfect, and what they will do is roll your window down, put some dowels at the top of the door to clear some room, then they will insert a long thin rod-like tool and "massage" the dent out. Will probably cost you $100 but a pro will make it look like the dent was never there in the first place.
