So, I'm getting the FD repainted.
Its going to have the FULL RE-Amemiya ADGT Widebody kit on with CF hood.

I want to paint the car black, ever since my black 350z I just loved the stealthyness of it. The other option is Toyota Supra MKIV Anthracite ( sometimes called MSB- monkey **** brown) ,and or Spirit-R Metallic Grey.


If you guys have any other suggestions as far as color, or a specific type of Black (ie Jet Black ...Tripple Black) let me know. Pics help.

 

Black will look sinister but it will be a pain in the *** to maintain. I like the 350z blue and the Spirit R grey.

 

black will hide the lines of the FD, IMO long beach pearl from the nsw FTW

 

Some sort of grey will look great. I agree with black hiding alot on the car. But then again, it could work wonders for the look as well.

 

Metallic Grey FTW Mine is Spiral Gray Metallic(GM color). But if I were to do it again, I would do blue.

midnight blue is really cool or you can go with red orange, like the 350z, really nice color as well.

That right there would be a defining point as well. That would definitly change my view on what color to paint the car.

The color i wanted to go with but due to the fact that i was getting hella discounted under the table top quality materials i couldn't get it.

2008 lexus pearl white with blue pearl clear, but whatever you do use some sort of OEM color, if you go full custom it will be a PITA to match it if you ever need to paint it, trust me i know

keep the paint code somewhere safe....i had a sticker made up and i put it in the door jamb and in the glove box.....should be safe

 

I like the darker grey from the lotus exsige I think it is storm titainium or something like that, or how about lizstick red from the saleen s7

 

I wanted to do lizstick red for my fd but they said that saleen will NOT release the paint code unless its for a saleen and its very EXPENSIVE. Sweet color though.

 

Pearl White.

 

Satin White Pearl (Subaru Color, it has Blue Flakes in it). Lexus Graphite Grey. Innocent Blue Mica (Love this color on FD's). Though if you're set on Black, Black Magic Pearl (VW) looks amazing, or Tarmac Black (Mitsubishi). When Black Magic Pearl is clean and in the light it often comes off Purple due to the amount of Pearl in the paint.

 

pearl white with carbon black on the hood and lip thats all .. o and tint.

 

I've been tossing back and forth between anthracite (doesn't look really goo in photos), escalade or the lexus white mentioned above, and dark olive metallic ala Porsche....be warned though you probably wont be the only one with the green.






Midnight blue metallic...I've been a fan of tghe color, but it's basically all the pains of black.

The Spirit R's Titanum Gray Metalic and Innocent Blue Mica are the two best non-black colors for the FD, IMO.

If you go with black, you should use the Mazda Brilliant Black. Its a stock black that came on the rx7 and 626 but it looks good IMO. paint code is (PZ)
