2000 watts??? Youre going to need huge wire for that. Also, you should probably look into purchasing 2 farad's-worth of capacitors (e.g. two 1 farad caps, four .5 farad, etc), or soon you will be looking into buying a new alternator. The alternator won't like the huge, instantaneous power demands of 2000 watts (you need ~1 farad for every 1000 watts). Although, since it's American Legacy, it's probably not really going to push 2000 watts (unless youre playing a 1000hz sine wave for a fraction of a second--which is how they probably came to that rating), so you might be able to support it.

In fact, if it's not too late, I suggest you read this to find out if you really want that American Legacy '2000 watt' amp:
http://www.decware.com/secrets4.htm
(pay particular attention to the RATINGS part on that page)

I heard the L7 in a store awhile back... it was a little muddy and power-hungry for my taste, but it's possible it was just the box they put it in.

Good luck,
Eric

thanks...nah its a 2000 watt 2 channel amp. i wasnt goin to push 2000 watts thats 2 loud in a 7. yeah i got a couple of .5 caps so my battery doesnt go out as fast. i kinda trust the american legacy amp because its tha old series that was underrated and my frien ha a 400 watt 2 channel and it did a good job pushing his subs and the sound quality was good.

legacy amps suck!(jus my opinion)...I had an L7 15" w/ an orion HCCA 225 amp in my 1st gen and it was ******* LOUD!!!!.....Keep the sub get a real amp!.....make sure you use the correct air space for the sub because if it is too big kicker will void the warranty....BTW solobarics kick *** in RX-7's because they require such a small enclosure....jus my $.02
