Gauge Cluster Help

I recently put a new head unit and speakers in my FD. I had to pop the side of the gauge cluster face to remove the face for the a/c and radio. After the install that night back behind the gauge cluster it smoked and my lights went out along with me tach and odometer. Is there any way to salvage what I have? If not where can I find a new one and how hard would the install be?

You possibly damaged the dimmer switch. You'll have to pull the gauge cluster and hood and examine all of the wiring behind it to really know. Another possibility is that you didn't wire the head unit properly and you blew the 10 amp Room fuse.

How do you safely remove the hood? Last time i tried it didn't want to budge and started cracking.
